Chocolate is a vegetable
I feel like I haven't seen much of people, so I hope that everyone is GOOD!
I've generally been pent up reading many books for my EE... at least they're interesting, scary though. I'll just take it all as an omen that school next year shall be "interesting".
So, ahem. I have kinda purple hair. Yayfulness! No, really it looks like I-spilt-red-wine-on-an-unsealed-mahogany-table colour. Can't really say that's what the *aim* was though.
I've seen both my baby cousins, which has been really nice - Jessie's mother wasn't letting me see her before, then at Christmas lunch (dinner? ) I got to look after her. Yep - I've definately gone maternal. Aidan wasn't at lunch, his grandfather being really ill. So he came over today... tired as anything, but grinning all the same. His parents definately look worn out - and they gave us a lettuce plant. So lots of lettuce shall be eaten!
I got back from Torquay Friday afternoon. Can't say it was as bad as I expected it to be at all - the father had his proposal in before we left, so much of the work-stress of his wasn't there. We did some more driving up there too - definately freaked the parents out! Found some kangaroos, people, dogs, cars, birds, angry mothers, ditches and butterflies. I like speeding alone roads! (ok... so maybe 80km'h isn't that fast, but it definately beats reversing at 20k) We stayed at Bellbrae (sp?) which is a few kilometres from Jan Juc and Bells Beach. Oh, and then there was that boy at Wikki (sp?) Pop who got taken by the shark. Turned out that we spent most of our time at the T. Surf Beach - had some really nice waves (cos, you know, we're just the greatest boogie boarders!) And we created the 'four people defination of life' - those that can manouvre, and those that run you down, those who are human torpedoes, and those who get in your way.
While there, I managed to 'make a friend'. Next door to us was a family. And their friends. (They started up the music 2pm on the 31st, and it ran till about then on the 2nd) And their daughter. Who was bored. And lonely. And desperate. And tagging-along. Oh, and she was 9. alkdfgka;djglkajd! "Can we go play?" "Let's go to the pool?" "Come over to my unit!" "Can I come in?" ... on the last day she kinda got the message. Too LATE!
And the op shop there is the best I've been to. I got some boots there last time. I have now upgraded, from there again. 3" heels, lack of pointed toe. Not scuffed! Not broken healed! $3.00!! *bounces* and in addition to that, I have a jumper that screams "big, black, warm and comfortable". Is very much content. But why do I never buy summer clothes?!
Too much sun, too much sand, and lovely surf. That being said - it is nice to be back. (and I gets to drive on the streets! Drive with much care, I tells you!)
