I keep forgetting what I was thinking. Which is particularly frustrating when you have something *meaningful* to say.
My 'world-view' needs updating. Here is the new one:
Emotions are different formations of energy flowing through the body - different formations flowing through different parts, and affecting them in different ways. (I think that should be 'effecting', but I digress) The energy releases itself in the expression of the emotion - healthy expressions of emotion include tears for sadness and grief, 'bouncy' and 'smily' for happiness, and 'waves' of anger which may mean clenched muscles. Fear and amxiety reactions can be clenched stomaches, increased heart-rate, and sweating. These physical responses are the energy expelling itself from the body. If emotions are not expressed, then they cannot be felt, as the energy of feeling an emotion needs to go somewhere. If there is no energy release, then there is no emotion, meaning that the emotion has been repressed. Actually repressing the release of energy (emotion) takes up more energy than expressing the emotion, hense when emotions are repressed one feels the need for more sleep, and constant fatigue.
Energy flow within the body is important, as it is what allows us to preform daily tasks, such as movement, living and cognition. Hense, emotions need to be expressed for optimal health, as their repression blocks the movement of energy, and uses up energy too. So... we loose lots of energy unnecessarily.
I give up. I don't think I'll believe this no matter how hard I try!
