My work at Recycled Designer Hell is nearly over, I told her I was off last night. It feels good. The reason I was able to do this ...
I have a new job! (Yes, another.)
It's at a meat shop. Not quite a deli, not quite a butcher. The most hacking up of meat I'll do is separating sausages, cutting racks, and stuffing&tying roasts. Bonus was that I got to crumb schnitzels. I'm good at crumbing! (I've only had a year of crumbing fish to practice.)
Bonus number two is that if the open (no door/glass covering) refrigerator goes above 6oC, the air con has to go on. I am looking forward to a nice cool summer.
Bonus number three is that the staff are nice, the hours are flexible, I can afford to be there, and I don't need to look fancy-schmantzy.
The ballet has been called off. YAY. This is rather a relief. The story I heard from the orchestra's manager is that the ballet's director thought we weren't good enough. This is rather laughable, because the orchestra can play the music, but the ballet us unable to dance. I'm not going to miss the stress of that woman breathing down my neck complaining she couldn't read my music because she "only reads piano music". I'm not going to miss trying to figure out what on earth she was humming relative to my part. I'm not quite sure why or how the responsibility became mine, but I am not going to miss it. I will miss laughing after the rehearsals, though, but nothing else. It's freed up a couple of days for me now!
I quite like modern medicine at the moment. It means I don't sound 87 years old. I'm dissapointed it's not perfect, but I'll be good enough for the exam. Media. Which is this afternoon. Which I ought to be studying for. <.< ...... >.> ..... <.<
I am pleased that the "human problems" have dried up. I think it was a good outcome too.
Listening to Marilyn Manson sing What Goes Around Comes Around (orriginally Justin Timberlake) and HIM sing Rebel Yell is providing much amusement. This is a good thing, Watching The Adams Family : Family Values is wonderful, and downright funny.
And now I go do that study thing.

I'm going to *try* and take a break from EVERYTHING for a week, but otherwise, yes, I am.

But my shift ends right on five.
Hopefully we manage to catch each other.
