After two weeks of not enough sleep, chemicals are allowing 6 hours. It's nearly exact - I can take them at 1am, they take 20 minutes to kick in, and I'll wake up at 7am. I'm impressed!
Today I acquired a knife block at the Camberwell market. Still want a bed and need a fridge, but I'm really pleased with them at this point. And 14 cakes of soap for five dollars.
And at the warehouse sale, my mother and I picked up about 10 sets of PJs for $80. And the most comfortable bra I've ever owned was $2. Win.
The final orchestra concert for the year was last night, and I am ... very, very pleased it's over. I do not want to play any incarnation of Pirates of the Caribbean again. Ever. It's possibly the most exhausting piece I've played - more so than all 45 minutes of Brahms' First, which we also were pushed through. So, so tired.
I'm still enjoying working at the meat shop. One bonus of all my jobs I'd previously overlooked is that I get good food for free.
Corset... is going. I'll have it all cut up by the end of the day. And then there's just the sewing. I'm waiting on a grommet press from Sydney, though, and WHO KNOWS how long that will take. It's already been 10 days. I'm considering just doing eyelets on some makeshift back panels and then switching them with grommeted panels, but I'm not sure how well that will work, nor if I've got enough fabric.
And I'm starting to move some of the small stuff this afternoon. I'm not looking forward to trying to sort out my current bedroom, though. It's going to be something of a more mammoth task than I really want.
There's other stuff I'm still trying to figure out, but it's tough because I'm not sure what it is. At least I've got everything sorted with the people I was stressing about.
