I found my eyeliner!
This is terribly significant, I know. But it's important to me - like a favorite eraser, or pair of socks, that you've had for a long time.
I'm also feeling pretty good about personally choosing my mothers day gift with no input from anyone. I actually want to show some appreciation this year.
I love, love Toblerone. It is also on sale at Woolies at the moment.
New fingerless gloves (first pair for me) allow typing. They have interesting strap and button detail - not sure if I like it yet, or if I will attempt a removal procedure.
I am looking forward to sewing. Especially to having a winter skirt, and hopefully a dress, and even more hopefully a pair of pants. Time-wise, it is far cheaper than store trawling.
I am looking forward to a pair of corsets. One for summer... and a white satin one with cherry (or ladybird?) cotton lining. So, so excited. I just need the press parts to come in.
The boss is a fool, and the manager is resigning. Good on her, basically, but we're all screwed without someone who knows what's going on, has been going on, and is on our side. Mr. Bossman just cut the hours budget by 50h. Crazy stuff, because without staff... we can't cook things, or sell things! Mr. Bossman gets annoyed (mighty angry) that there are no soups, but they are kitchen hours, and we "just have to do". At least my talk with the manager went well today, and she will try for me. There are at least two of us not having enough for rent at the moment, and I am pleased I don't also have two kids.
Also had some fairly unpleasant revelations recently, because they're just too idyllic to actually happen, and that is saddening.
