Why robots will have emotions

I'm not sure I am entirely convinced, but it was interesting to read.

One of those bits of gold that makes trawling through "emotion anger" on scholar.google interesting.

That, and a piece of erm, brilliance, entitled "Is patient satisfaction sensitive to changes in the quality of care?" About patients in a hospital in Tanzania. You'd ruddy well think they'd be more satistied if they were being cared for well, rather than poorly, wouldn't you! And they were given a grant to do it. That said, the part where they exploit the Hawthorne effect to do the study is pretty nice.
