Lists of things I need to get done have been helping today. Yay!
I was interested by the debate over the proposal to reduce funding to Olympic sports in Australia which have few participants. Apparently someone doesn't see it necessary for Australia to be in the top five gold medal winning nations. I was disappointed, however, at the proposal that the money saved from Olympic sports would instead be spent on 'national' sports such as AFL, netball, hockey and cricket. Somehow I just don't see sport as the most deserving of funding. I'd love to see the AFL holding events to raise money to upgrade a stadium, rather than a school having a fair to raise money for a home economics department. Or perhaps some kind of reasonable way to put non-cosmetic orthodontics into Medicare.
Been looking at domain.com.au and realestate.com.au, and thought there was another similar site, but haven't been able to find it.
These holidays are passing quicker than I'd planned.
